This report deals in the first place with some investigations on the utility of blood samples absorbed onto filter paper for determination of antibodies to Toxoplasma gondii. Secondly, the results of specific IgM detection in such samples of a cohort of neonates born in 1986/1987 are reported. The aim of this study was to assess a baseline of the occurence of congenital toxoplasma infections in the Netherlands.<br>Sponsors
