Dit rapport geeft een uitgebreide samenvatting van de
stand van zaken en huidige resultaten van de Gezondheidskundige Evaluatie
Schiphol (GES). GES bestaat uit een aantal studies met verschillende opzet.
In dit rapport zijn in plaats van per onderzoek, de resultaten beschreven
per gezondheidsparameter: hinder, hart- en vaatziekten, slaapverstoring,
luchtwegaandoeningen, ervaren gezondheid, cognitieve prestatie,
geboortegewicht, risicoperceptie en woontevredenheid. Een onderzoek naar
slaapverstoring bij volwassenen in relatie tot blootstelling aan nachtelijk
vliegtuiggeluid is nog in uitvoering. Aansluitend op de bevindingen van GES
zal een monitoringsysteem worden ontwikkeld waarmee mogelijke veranderingen
in de milieukwaliteit en gezondheidstoestand bij uitbreiding van de
luchthaven gevolgd kunnen worden.
This report provides an overview of the current results of the Health Impact Assessment Schiphol (HIAS) research programme, consisting of a series of studies with various designs. The results are summarised under the following categories: health end-point: annoyance, cardiovascular diseases, sleep disturbance, respiratory diseases, perceived health, neurobehavioural effects, birth weight and perception of risks and residential satisfaction. Based on the results of the HIAS, a monitoring system will be developed for periodic study of the health status of the population in relation to expansion of the airport.
