Abstract
Plasmid-mediated colistin resistance can be transferred from animals to humans. We investigated the prevalence of carriage of mcr-mediated colistin-resistant Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae (ColR-E/K) in veterinary healthcare workers and in the general population in the Netherlands.
