Abstract
goed is.
sociaal-economische status gevonden - o.a. in contacten met huisartsen,
Investering in
In this report pressure points in the accessibility of the Dutch health care system for different socio-economic groups are reviewed. It is concluded that as to equal access the system in general performs well. However, there are some noticeable differences in utilisation between socio-economic groups (e.g. contacts with GP's and physicians, psycho-social care, surgery) that may point to differences in accessibility between these groups. The observed differences seem to be linked to cultural aspects of accessibility (information gap, effective utilisation of resources), rather than financial aspects. Future research, including improvement of data collection and registration, is needed to monitor the accessibility of the system in the coming years.
