Abstract
This report is the result of the Global/Detailed design phase of "The use of IT, version 2". The first version of "The use of IT" has been published as part - chapter 6 - of the Global/Detailed-design Information System on Environmental Technology (IT), 1989, report nr. 738705003. The activities performed in this phase are the implementaiton of the funcitonal recommendations, metnioned in the report Evaluation IT. To simplify "The use of IT" a user shell will be implemented with the help of the programming language BRS/MNS. This user friendly user shell will enable the user to work without any knowledge of the BRS system. It is expected that the second version of "The use of IT" will be ready in december 1991.<br>
