Ochratoxine A is een mycotoxine aanwezig op verschillende voedingsmiddelen. In dit rapport wordt de toxiciteit van ochratoxine A samengevat. De inname van ochratoxine A in de Nederlandse populatie wordt op een probabilistische wijze geschat. Granen dragen het meeste bij (55%) aan de totale ochratoxine A inname. Aangezien het 99e percentiel van de levenslang-gemiddelde inname (28 ng/kg lg/week) beduidend lager is dan de "Provisional Tolerable Weekly Intake" (100 ng/kg lg/week), wordt geconcludeerd dat er geen gezondheidsrisico is met betrekking tot de huidige inname van ochratoxine A.
Ochratoxin A is a mycotoxin present on several food products. In this report the toxicity of ochratoxin A is summarized. The intake of ochratoxin A in the Dutch population is estimated in a probabilistic exposure assessment. Cereals contribute mainly (55%) to the total ochratoxin A intake. Since the 99th percentile of the lifelong-averaged intake (28 ng/kg bw/week) is considerably lower than the "Provisional Tolerable Weekly Intake" (100 ng/kg bw/week), it is concluded that there is no health risk from the current dietary intake of ochratoxin A.
