Acute toxiciteitstoetsen werden uitgevoerd met larven
van de dansmug Chironomius riparius en de oligochaet Branchiura sowerbyi en
negen narcotisch werkende organische stoffen. Om LC50-waarden te kunnen
voorspellen werden Kwantitatieve Structuur Activiteit Relaties (QSARs)
afgeleid. De gevonden QSARSs voor C. riparius en B. sowerbyi werden
vergeleken met die welke voor enkele andere aquatische organismen zijn
gevonden.
Acute toxicity tests were conducted with larvae of the midge Chironomus riparius and the tubificid oligochaete worm Branchiura sowerbyi, and nine relatively unreactive organic chemicals. Quantitative Structure Activity Relationships (QSARs) were derived to predict LC50 values. The QSARs found for C. riparius and B. sowerbyi were compared with those for several other aquatic organisms.
