Abstract
Naast sociaal-demografische
Nederlandse versies
The first phase in this study on psychosocial factors was a pilot of the logistics and the questionnaire. This pilot was held from April through May 1996 among former respondents of the Monitoring project on Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factors in Maastricht. This report shows the results of the pilot. Apart from socio-demographic characteristics, also questions on functional status and well-being, work, social life, mental health status, life experiences, childhood experiences and personal beliefs are included in the questionnaire. Dutch versions of questionnaires on functional status and well-being, and on elements of the part on personal beliefs (active coping, neuroticism, and extraversion) were available. Psychometric properties of all scales included were good. No attempt is made to compare in detail scores to other populations because of the limited number of respondents. The fact that all scales are comparable to the studies they originate from, gives good confidence in the main study of this project.
