Abstract
speciatieprogramma GECHEQ.
The results of a study into the analysis of fluoride and phosphate in solutions with complex environmental matrices using Capillary Zone Electrophoresis (CZE) have been described. Determination of fluoride in air absorption liquids was enabled by removing interferences by solid phase extraction. The average recovery of fluoride in these solutions was 109%. The average recoveries of additions of phosphate to riverwater-, and to groundwater were 83% en 105% respectively. Recoveries of additions of phosphate to stemflowwater could not be determined by changes of the phosphate equilibrium. Absolute correction with bromide as reference for migration time drift caused by the matrix improved the peak identification. A preliminary speciation study of the reaction of fluoride with aluminum has been made. In solutions with aluminum and fluoride, CZE gave lower fluoride concentrations compared to calculated concentrations on the basis of thermodynamic equilibrium.
