In this report an ecotoxicological Maximum Permissible Concentration (MPC) has been derived for intermittent exposure of plants to ethylene in air, based on the results of field studies. In addition, the current ecotoxicological MPCs for ethylene in air, based on the results of laboratory studies in which plants were continuously exposed to ethylene in air, have been evaluated.

In dit rapport is op grond van de resultaten van veldonderzoeken een ecotoxicologisch Maximaal Toelaatbaar Risiconiveau (MTR) afgeleid voor discontinue blootstelling van planten aan etheen in lucht, waarbij het discontinue blootstellingsregime van een Nederlandse industriele puntbron als uitgangspunt is genomen. Daarnaast zijn de huidige ecotoxicologische MTR's voor etheen in lucht, die gebaseerd zijn op continue blootstelling van planten in laboratoriumonderzoeken, geevalueerd.
