Abstract
beeld gebracht.
In this report an analysis is carried out on the possible application of data on soil organisms for the assessment and prediction of effects on soil ecosystems. The current use of soil biota in biomonitoring programs and in statistical- and dynamic models is described. Problems which are met in the use of soil biota are identified and possible solutions are given. Furthermore the possibilities of formulating objectives for soil biota in environmental and nature protection policy are evaluted. In the report a method is proposed for the development of tools for the assessment and prediction of environmental quality, based on soil biota.
