Abstract
8-hydroxychinolinesulfaat.
Performance characteristics of the determinations of two components that are frequently analysed in sera and vaccines, have been established. It concerns trueness, precision and accuracy, the linearity of the calibration curves, the limit of detection and matrix effects on precision and accuracy of the photometric determinations of formaldehyde and 8-hydroxychinoline-sulphate. It appears that for formaldehyde the accuracy is better than 5%, and for 8-hydroxychinoline-sulphate the accuracy is better than 3% over nearly the whole concentration ranges covered by the methods. The limits of detection of the methods are 5 and 0.5 mumol/l for formaldehyde and 8-hydroxychinolinesulphate respectively, for the undiluted samples.
