The studies were part of a joint project of the TNO Institute of Environmental Sciences (IMW-TNO), the Institute for Inland Water Management and Waste Water Treatment (RIZA) and the Netherlands Institute of Public Health and Environmental Protection (RIVM). The aim of the project is to develop and evaluate a set of test systems for polluted sediments. Preferably the test methods must be suitable to assess the toxic effects of both specific chemicals and polluted field sediments.Collections
