    Publiekssamenvatting
The results obtained during the investigation of 197 samples of kidney fat for the presence of illegal anabolic compounds are presented. The method used until now was laborious and the sample throughput was low. For this reason a new method was developed. For the compounds mentioned above there is no Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) since their use is prohibited. The limit of determination for the new method is 2.0 mug/kg at which level the within-laboratory reproducibility was 19% for Medroxyprogesterone-acetate, 14% for Megestrol-acetate and 18% for Melengestrol-acetate. For Chloormadinone-acetate only semi quantitative analyses was possible since a suitable isotope enriched internal standard was not yet available. One sample was found positive (0.5%). The identity of medroxyprogesterone-acetate was confirmed by the detection of four diagnostic ions. The concentration, however, was approximately 2mug/kg.
