dc.description.abstractDuring the period March through October 1989, the Sixth EULEP X-ray Dosimetry Intercomparison on whole-body irradiation on mice was performed. The intercomparison consisted of two irradiation series; the initial study comprised 15 participating institutes, the second series were performed for 7 institutes which showed appreciable deviation from the reference value. The participants performed irradiations of mouse phantoms containing TL dosemeters. The read-out and evaluation of the TL dosemeters were perfomed at RIVM. The accuracy and precision of the dosimetry can be considered satisfactory for most of the participants. Deviations observed at several institutes indicate the need for site-visits to trace probable systematic errors.
