dc.description.abstractA new cytotoxicity test with parameter intra-cellular ATP has been developed and validated for determination of the biocompatibility of medical devices. By means of the test intracellular toxic effects on metabolic structures and systems resulting in ATP depletion can be indicated. The test can be performed in addition to the celgrowth inhibition, the LDH release and the Agar Overlay Test.
