    Title
Biologische beschikbaarheid van zware metalen in de grond ; selectie van bepalingsmethode en beoordeling van toepassingsmogelijkheden (een literatuurstudie)
    Translated Title
[Bioavailability of heavy metals in soil ; selection of method and possibilities of application. (A literature study).]
    Publiekssamenvatting
    Abstract niet beschikbaar
In order to assess a diagnose of soil quality in the Netherlands and to assess effect related norms a method to determine biological available metal contents is needed. In literature several methods are described for determination of the bioavailable fraction but none of these methods is standardized. From this literature review appears that extractions with unbuffered salt solutions are most suitable for determination of the bioavailable heavy metal fractions in soil. It is recommended to select and to standardize a method for determination of the potential bioavailability of heavy metals in soils. Application of this method for determination of bioavailable heavy metal fractions in soils is advised in the National program of soil monitoring in the Netherlands.
