Modelling plastics recycling as a module for STREAMPubliekssamenvatting
Economic monetary scenarios are converted into physical scenarios by the National Institute of Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and the Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis (CPB). The model STREAM, Substance Throughput Relating to Economic Activity Model, is used for this conversion. The focus here was modelling the marginal costs of recovering waste plastics and the marginal revenues of the recovered plastics. The resultant marginal net costs function will be implemented in STREAM. The effects of several policy measures on recovery costs and revenues were also estimated.
