dc.description.abstractA library of C++ classes has been developed to be used in environmental modeling applications. The classes are designed to be generally used. Therefore this report includes a reference manual of the classes and an elaborated example of the use of the classes. It is concluded that the classes can be used for a wide range of applications. In creating this class library two phases were distinguished: (1) design and (2) implementation. It is concluded that by developing models in an object oriented way, modelers and programmers are offered the opportunity to concentrate on their specialisations.
