    Title
Relatie vliegverkeergeluid en geluidhinder rondom vliegveld Eindhoven : Blootstelling - respons relatie
    Translated Title
Relation between aircraft sound and noise annoyance around airport Eindhoven
    Publiekssamenvatting

The exposure of the population in the region around the airport to noise from the total traffic increased between 2012 and 2014 with about 3 decibel. This is one of the findings of a study by RIVM into the relation between exposure to aircraft noise around the airport Eindhoven and the extend of severe noise annoyance. The reason for this was the allowed and executed growth of airport Eindhoven (number of flights).

The area in which air traffic in the region of airport Eindhoven can cause annoyance is larger than the research area of the perception study by the Municipal Health Authority (GGD). This means that the number of people severely annoyed by noise from aircraft is likely to be higher than estimated.

The noise exposure (Lden and Ke) was modeled by the National Aerospace Laboratory (NLR) for2011 and 2014. With questionnaire studies the GGD Brabant-Southeast and Bureau Health, Environment & Safety GGD'en Brabant/Zeeland assessed the extend of severe noise annoyance in 2012 and 2014.
