The method used is a modification of the method described by Froelich and is based on elemental analysis. Sediment samples from several locations of sea and river water show a large variation of the carbon content. The organic carbon concentration varies from 2.78 to 22.42 % the inorganic carbon varies from 1.25 to 5.66 %. The analyses were run in duplicate with a mean standard deviation of 0.1 %.Abstract not available19 pnl16organic carboninorganic carbonelemental analysisElementair analyses t.b.v. het project: Orienterend onderzoek naar Polonium-210 en andere radionucliden in Nederlandse aquatische ecosystemenElemental analysis on behalf of the project "Reconnaissance investigations of Po-210 and other natural radionuclides in Dutch aquatic ecosystems.Report2012-12-12
