Data obtained are person-oriented, region-specific, and available both for seropositives and seronegatives. Double counts can be avoided. Problems in the implementation phase are discussed. For the interpretation of the data and the detection, the interpretation and the follow-up of trends essential data on the indication for laboratory diagnostics are lacking. The conditions have been created to collect these data from January 1, 1990. For effective surveillance of HIV infections these activities will be supplemented with surveys on the spread of HIV and related risk factors in specific groups.27 pnl01aidshivsurveillanceautomatiseringindicatiestellingSurveillance van HIV-infecties in de regio Arnhem ; deel 1: Automatisering van een gegevensbank voor routinematige laboratoriumdiagnostiekSurveillance of HIV-infections in the region of Arnhem.
