This concentration is considered to be low for this type of installation, when compared with other types of MSWIs in the Netherlands. The yearly emission of dioxins from this installation is estimated at 1,1 g TEQ. According to dispersion model calculations this emission only has a small contribution to the yearly mean deposition in the surroundings, viz. on average 0,2 ng TEQ/(m2.year) over an area of 20x20 km2 with a maximum of 1,9 ng TEQ/(m2,year) at 1.000 m North- East of the installation. Background depositions are estimated at 10 ng TEQ/(m2.year). Direct danger for public health is not expected and determination of dioxin levels in grass and soil in this area is not recommended.11 pnl1791-1vuilverbrandingavi-philipsemissiesdioxinenpcdd/pcdf; incineratormsw-philipsemissionsdioxinsEvaluatie van de dioxine-emissies van de afvalverbrandingsinstallatie AVI-Philips te EindhovenEvaluation of the dioxin-emissions of the Municipal Solid Waste Incinerator of Philips in EindhovenReport2012-12-12
