This technique is used to determine various genotoxic effects induced by radiations and for chemicals in a mesenchymal tissue (subcutaneous fibroblasts) of the rat. In the framework of this assay test experiments were performed in which 6 rats were irradiated with X-rays. The group of 6 rats was divided into three subgroups of 2 animals each, coded 1 (dose=2Gy), 2 (dose=6GY) and 3 (dose=10Gy). The purpose of these preliminary tests is to check wether the applied doses will meet further requirements for assessing the biological endpoints, the capacity involved and the experimental setup.23 pnl16rattenratsgranuloma pouchbestralingirradiationroentgenstralingx-raysProefbestraling van ratten met verschillende doseringen rontgenstraling t.b.v. de Granuloma Pouch Assay van het Laboratorium voor Carcinogenese en MutageneseTest irradiations of rats with different doses X-rays for the Granuloma Pouch Assay of the Laboratory for Carcinogenesis and MutagenesisReport2012-12-12
