The exposure rates were determined by means of thermoluminescence dosimeters on a number of locations. One of these locations was used for determinations of the natural background (reference) on the site. The exposure rates averaged over a year appeared not to deviate significantly from the natural background levels in the Netherlands. A small increase of the annual mean of the exposure rate near the building Sg, with regard to the reference level, is partially due to irradiation activities for calibration work.28 pnl16radioactiviteitstralingmetenradioactivityradiationmeasurementsrivmStralingsniveaumetingen op het terrein van het Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieuhygiene gedurende de jaren 1991 en 1992[Exposure rate measurements carried out during 1991 and 1992 at the site of the National Institute of Public Health and Environmental Protection.]Report2012-12-12
