This report presents the results of sorting analyses with household waste, collected after separate collection at source in the municipality of Hoogeveen. This pilot project forms part of a project, called "Afvalscheiding droge componenten" (waste separation of dry components), in which several Dutch pilot projects, concerning the recycling of household waste, are evaluated. In a pilot district in Hoogeveen, household waste is collected in six fractions: - putrescibles (garden-, fruit- and vegetable waste: "GFT"). - paper/cardboard - glass - drink-packaging (laminated cardboard) - plastic packaging - a residual fraction. Three samples of each fraction have been analysed on composition, purity and response. In this study the results have been compared with sorting analyses on (integral) collected household waste of a referential district in Hoogeveen. Besides a comparison is made with sorting analyses of a pilot project, which took place in a pilot district in the munipality of Breda.
